Andy Rooney Dies At Age 92

Celebrity News Today (thecelebrityspice.blogspot.com) - Broadcasting celebrity and 60 Minutes fixture Andy Rooney died Friday night in a hospital in New York City. Rooney had only finished his ending sign-off as a paper observer on the CBS show just over a month ago, and was supposedly in stable circumstance subsequent complications from minor surgical procedure last week.





Rooney’s final dissertation for 60 Minutes was a classic example of his brand name blend of intelligibility, humility and congenial wit. He concluded his last essay by philanthropic thanks to persons who had reach out to him over the years.


"Andy always said he wanted to work until the day he died, and he manage to do it, save the last few weeks in the hospital," said his "60 Minutes" colleague, pen friend Steve Kroft.


Services will be private, Brian Rooney, Andy Rooney’s son and a longtime ABC News correspondent, said Saturday, according to the wire service.
